Privacy Policy

    The short version: ChatPop does not collect, store, or share any personal data.
    Your conversations exist only while a tunnel is open — and are permanently deleted the moment it is ended.
  

What we collect

Nothing. ChatPop is designed from the ground up to collect zero personal information.

No account is required to use the app.
No name, email, phone number, or any identifier is ever collected.
No usage analytics or tracking is performed.
No cookies or cross-site tracking on chatpop.app.

Messages & conversations

Messages are stored temporarily in Firebase Realtime Database solely to enable real-time delivery between two parties. They are never read, analyzed, or retained by us.

All messages are permanently deleted when a tunnel is ended ("nuked") by the host.
All tunnels — and their messages — are automatically deleted after 24 hours of inactivity.
Once deleted, data cannot be recovered by anyone, including us.

Firebase (infrastructure)

ChatPop uses Google Firebase to store temporary tunnel data. Firebase may collect standard infrastructure-level metadata (IP addresses, request timestamps) as part of its normal operation. This data is governed by Google's Privacy Policy and is not accessible to or used by ChatPop.

In-app purchases

ChatPop is a one-time purchase processed entirely by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). We do not process payments directly and never receive your payment information. Purchase history is managed by RevenueCat, which may collect a pseudonymous device identifier for the purpose of managing your purchase. No personal information is associated with this identifier.

Children's privacy

ChatPop is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect any information from children.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
