Terms of Use

1. Acceptance

By downloading, installing, or using ChatPop (the "App") or visiting chatpop.app (the "Site"), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the App or Site.

2. What ChatPop is

ChatPop is a tool for creating temporary, private, text-based chat sessions ("tunnels") between two parties. The host creates a tunnel from the app; a guest joins via a link in any web browser. Tunnels and all messages are permanently deleted when ended by the host, or automatically after 24 hours of inactivity.

3. Permitted use

You may use ChatPop only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to use ChatPop to:

• Transmit any content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable.
• Harass, bully, stalk, or intimidate any person.
• Distribute malware, phishing links, or any malicious content.
• Violate any applicable local, national, or international law or regulation.
• Infringe on the intellectual property rights of any third party.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, hack, or disrupt the App or its infrastructure.

4. No content moderation

ChatPop does not monitor, review, or store the content of conversations. We have no ability to access messages in transit or after deletion. As a result, you are solely responsible for all content you transmit using the App. The ephemeral, private nature of ChatPop does not grant permission to engage in illegal activity.

5. Purchase and payment

ChatPop is available as a one-time purchase through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. All payments are processed by Apple or Google respectively. We do not handle payment information directly.

• Purchases are final. Refunds are governed by Apple's or Google's refund policies.
• You may restore your purchase on any device using the same App Store or Google Play account via the "Restore Purchases" button in the app.
• Prices may vary by region and are set by the respective app store.

6. Disclaimers

ChatPop is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that:

• The App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure at all times.
• Any data transmitted will be 100% secure from interception by third parties.
• The App will be available in all jurisdictions.

While we design ChatPop with privacy as a priority, no technology is perfectly secure. Use it accordingly.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, ChatPop and its creators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the App — including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or damages resulting from content transmitted through the App.

8. Age requirement

ChatPop is intended for users aged 17 and older. By using the App, you confirm you are at least 17 years of age. Do not use the App if you are under 17.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to ChatPop at any time if we reasonably believe these Terms are being violated, without notice or liability.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. The updated date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by applicable law. Any disputes shall be resolved in the jurisdiction where the App developer is located.
